Annual Business Meeting/Early Afternoon Service - Sunday, February 5, 1:30 p.m.
-Dinner on the Grounds following the morning service.
-There will be no evening service.
-If you are a member of our church, we trust you will plan to attend our annual business meeting. In order to make it more convenient, a catered dinner will be served in the Family Life Center between services at the cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 4-10. Children 3 and under eat free. Please sign the list at the welcome center if you plan to attend. It is very important that you sign up for this meal by Wednesday, February 1, so we know how much food to order. Annual reports for the business meeting are available at the welcome center. Please take one per family.
Adult Dinner Activity - Saturday, February 11, 5:30 p.m.
In place of a Friendship Banquet this year, we will be having home dinners. All adults are asked to sign up for this activity at the welcome center. When the list is complete, we will divide all who have signed up between four homes - Byers, Herrings, Pendls and Watsons. The host and hostess will provide the meat and all those coming to their home will be asked to bring side dishes for the meal. In addition, each person will pay $1 to cover the cost of dessert here at the church at the end of the evening. Please plan to attend this special time of fellowship. This is a great opportunity to get better acquainted with people you may not know.
Please note this change regarding children: Pastor Joel and Cindy Pendl will be host and hostess here at the church for those families who have children. Children may play together in the FLC.
Special Needs Ministry Training Meeting - Saturday, February 18, 9:00 a.m.
This important meeting is for all who will be involved in our "Friends Class" which begins on Sunday, March 4. If you have signed up to serve as a "friend," please plan to attend this meeting.
Vacation Bible Time Planning Meeting - February 23
Work Day - Tuesday, February 21, 9:00 a.m.
Work day to paint the room adjacent to the church kitchen-This room will be used for the new "Friends Class" for people with special needs. We also plan to use this room for entertaining smaller groups such as missionaries, ensembles, men's meetings, etc. Please plan to help if you have this time available.

Our missionary, Roger Wambold, director of Hebrew Christian Fellowship, and his wife Phyllis will host a ten-day tour in Israel on April 17-26, 2012. If you have interest in this trip, please see Pastor. Brochures are available at the welcome center.

Cancellations
In the event that services need to be cancelled due to inclement weather throughout the winter months, we will annouce cancellations on WPXI (Channel 11) and KDKA (Channel 2). You can also find the information on the web at wpxi.com and kdka.com. CLick on "closings and delays."

-Finances are needed for a newer van to replace the red van which is beyond repair

Praise for answered prayer
Money was given this week to enable us to finish carpeting the lower level. We thank the Lord for the way in which He supplied for this much-needed improvement to our building. We trust you will continue giving so that we can finish paying off the remaining $1,700.00 on the sealing of the church parking lot. Also of concern is the need for a newer church van. Please consider how you can help with these expenses.
Our Ministry Theme for 2012
Our ministry theme for 2012 is "Striving to Win the Lost." Our goal for this year will be to reach more aggressively into our community with the gospel. Pastor will preach various series of messages throughout the year which will challenge us to be more faithful in our witness for Christ. Current message series are as follows:
Sunday Mornings - The Book of 1 Corinthians - "Equipping Lives for Gospel Witness"
Sunday Evenings - The Book of Acts - "Equipping Lips for Gospel Witness"
Wednesday Evening Bible Study - Our Statement of Faith - Our doctrine not only unifies us but also prepares us to give answers to any who ask us of the hope that we have. This series will enhance your ability to communicate Biblical truth.

To order CD's of the services, please fill out an order form at the welcome center. The cost of a CD is $1.00. When ordering a CD, please be sure to include $1 in the envelope.

- Please check out the book table. These resources are there for your spiritual growth. You may pay for these materials at the welcome center.
- Titles include: Grief-Learning to Live with Loss; Selfishness-From Loving Yourself to Loving Your Neighbor; Uprooting Anger-Biblical Help for a Common Problem; Strengthening Your marriage; The Faithful Parent-A Biblical Guide to Raising a Family.
- You will be influenced greatly by the books you read, so resolve to do more reading of good books this year.
